6 Instant Pot Accessories Every Home Cook Needs

If you own an Instant Pot, these are the accessories I reach for every time. They’re affordable, save time, and make pressure cooking easier and more versatile. Below are my top six Instant Pot must-haves that I use regularly—great for everyday meals, steaming, reheating, and even desserts.

1. ekovana Stackable Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker Steamer Insert Pans

These two-tier, stackable stainless steel pans let you cook multiple items at once—ideal for vegetables, fish, meat, or separate components of a meal. They also work well as a dessert pan for cheesecakes or as a lasagna pan. Because they stack, you can pressure cook several dishes without mixing flavors, and they fit 5, 6, and 8 quart Instant Pots. A great space- and time-saver for busy weeknights.

2. Instant Pot Stainless Steel Inner Cooking Pot

A second stainless steel inner pot is perfect when a recipe requires using the Instant Pot twice—no need to cool, wash, and wait between steps. Swap in the second pot to continue cooking while the first one rests or is used for another component. This saves dishes and speeds up the process for multi-step recipes like sticky chicken or layered casseroles.

3. Instant Pot Silicone Lid

The silicone lid transforms your stainless steel inner pot into airtight, spill-proof storage—like a giant Tupperware. Use it to store leftovers directly in the pot, then reheat by placing the inner pot back into the Instant Pot and selecting the Warm setting. It’s an easy, low-waste way to store and reheat meals without extra containers.

4. Silicone Rings (2-Pack)

Silicone sealing rings come in sets of two different colors—handy for assigning one ring to savory dishes and the other to sweet recipes. This simple habit prevents flavor transfer (so your cheesecake won’t pick up the smell of last week’s pot roast). Having spare rings also keeps your Instant Pot ready to use while the other ring is cleaning or airing out.

5. Glass Lid

A clear glass lid is helpful when you want to use the Instant Pot like a slow cooker or for tasks where you want to monitor progress without removing the lid. It’s great for simmering, keeping food warm, or making foods like popcorn where visibility is useful. I chose a compatible non-branded glass lid for convenient viewing while cooking.

6. Springform Pan (6-inch, 7-inch, 8-inch options)

A springform pan is essential for cheesecakes, layered desserts, and even small lasagnas made in the Instant Pot. The 6-inch pan fits a 3-quart cooker, while 7- and 8-inch pans work in larger models. The removable sides make it easy to release delicate desserts after pressure cooking without damage.
